If molded case circuit breakers or earth leakage circuit breakers have tripped, do not reset the breaker immediately without first checking for any problems with insulation of equipment.

Resetting breakers without a check of insulation may cause damage to equipment.

American Standard air conditioning codes

CODE: Green light on, slow flashing, or fast flashing

RESULT: Unit is operating normally.

CODE: Amber light on

RESULT: Unit requires refrigerant.

CODE: Red 1 flash

RESULT: Communication error.

CODE: Red 2, 3, and 4 flashes

RESULT: Defrost fault.

CODE: Red 5 flashes

RESULT: Fault with the ambient temperature sensor.

CODE: Red 6 flashes

RESULT: Fault with the coil temperature sensor.

CODE: Red 7 flashes

RESULT: Low-pressure problem.

CODE: Red 13 flashes

RESULT: Fault with the external temperature sensor.

CODE: Red 17 flashes
